Your OC July Culture & Arts Guide
July in Orange County belongs to the beaches and the fairgrounds. Between a summer of live art in Laguna and the return of the county’s biggest fair, there is plenty to fill a weekend. Here are the highlights.
The OC Fair returns to Costa Mesa
The iconic Orange County Fair opens July 17 and runs through August 16 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. This year’s theme is “Your Adventure Awaits,” with carnival rides, fair food, concerts, exhibits, and shopping across its summer run. It is a classic Southern California outing for the whole family.
Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters
Down in Laguna Beach, the Festival of Arts runs July 7 through September 3, showcasing work from local artists in a beautiful outdoor setting at 650 Laguna Canyon Road. Its celebrated Pageant of the Masters, where classic artworks are recreated with live performers, opens July 9 and runs through September 4. The 2026 theme is “The Greatest of All Time.” Evenings here are a genuine OC tradition.
And of course, the coast
No July in OC is complete without beach time. Whether it is a morning at the shore before the crowds or a sunset stroll along the sand, the coastline is the county’s easiest and most timeless summer escape.
